This tale of a thousand scents is the starting point for the second life of Stéphane Hourdel and his family. After 15 years in graphic design, he began to question his existence, felt the need to return to the land, and dreamt of rediscovering the age-old link between plants and humans: he became a farmer-herbalist, a sower of knowledge and meaning.
Certified by the École Bretonne d'Herboristerie in 2021, he set his sights that same year on a house and land in the heart of the village of Le Pas, which was certified as an organic farm the following year. A rather unusual location for a business growing and processing plants. But he likes it, because he loves being close to living things and passing on his passion to his human friends, sharing the wonders and benefits of the plants he sows, listens to and observes, season after season.
Since 2023, he has been selling aromatic herbs and simple or blended herbal teas, made from medicinal plants that he has carefully grown, harvested and dried on site. From time to time, he likes to open the doors of his estate to tell the secrets of a plant and its harvest during a themed, warm and lively tour, and thus present his craft inherited from a popular and rural know-how.
If you'd like to buy his products, don't hesitate to come and meet him on site, during opening hours or by appointment. You'll be given all the advice you need on how to prepare and use them, so that each plant can express its full potential in your cup.
