Yvann Alexandre Company
Inspired by kinetic art*, Yvann Alexandre continues his research into movement, weaving infinite interactions between dancers and spectators.
In a fantasised dialogue with the artist, and without summoning him to the stage, the choreographer observes and responds to the work of Zilvinas Kempinas, heir to the kinetic art of the 1960s. In this incessant back-and-forth between intimacy and deployment, feminine and masculine, solitude and a sense of community,
the performers are as much illusions as they are possible worlds. N.éon takes over the space, creating intertwining patterns and playing with the phenomena of perception in an alternation of appearance and disappearance. Movement, light, sound, the relationship with the audience, the performers and the dramaturgy all come together to create a lively, sensitive experience.
Yvann Alexandre is a choreographer from the Loire who looks at the world, right in the dance, and maps the echo of the world within him, with care and delicacy. Since 2019, he has directed the Théâtre Francine Vasse in Nantes.
* A 1950s artistic movement that refers to works of art set in motion by the wind, spectators or a motorised mechanism.
