In the Bois-Salair forest, just outside the village of Fontaine-Daniel, lies the Orthodox Monastery of the Nativity of the Mother of God.
The Sisters of the community, who have lived in Fontaine-Daniel since 2014, offer a guided tour of the chapel, which is entirely frescoed in the Byzantine tradition, with an explanation of its architecture and frescoes.
