Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791) :
Concerto for piano and orchestra No. 13 in C major K.415
Rondo for piano and orchestra in D major K.382
Unique in the history of music for their richness and variety, Mozart's piano concertos accompanied the composer throughout his Viennese period. The last in a series of three concertos written at the same time, Concerto No. 13 is distinguished by its rich instrumentation. It precedes the irresistible Rondo in D major, whose typically Viennese theme gives rise to six brilliant variations of contrasting character.
Sélim Mazari is one of the most acclaimed French pianists of his generation. He began playing the piano at a very early age and continued his training at the Paris Conservatoire, notably with Brigitte Engerer, who had a lasting influence on his career. He then went on to perfect his skills in London and Vienna with the great masters of the European school.
After being named ADAMI Revelation in 2012 and nominated for a Victoire de la Musique Classique award in 2018, he quickly established himself on the international scene. His first album, devoted to Beethoven's Variations, was awarded a Diapason d'Or and drew critical attention for the maturity and finesse of his interpretation.
Invited to play in major concert halls and numerous festivals, Sélim Mazari pursues an active career as a soloist and chamber musician, playing alongside renowned musicians. His clear, poetic and masterful playing has made him a rising star on the contemporary French piano scene.
