Ensemble Masques on tour in Averton as part of the "Ma Région Virtuose" classical music festival
The "Ma Région Virtuose" classical music festival organised by the Pays de la Loire Region aims to appeal to as many people as possible, with innovative formats and unexpected venues, modest ticket prices (from €2 to €12) and many free concerts.
In 2026, for its 3rd edition, Ma Région Virtuose reaffirms its ambition: to offer musical excellence to all the people of the Ligérien region, in concert halls over the weekend of 23 to 25 January, as well as in everyday venues from the beginning of January, including in Averton on 18 January!
This year, not one but two stage lorries will be hitting the road across the region from 9 January. These 40- and 90-seat travelling stages will be offering local residents a moment of musical intimacy, just a stone's throw from their homes. A date not to be missed!
ENSEMBLE MASQUES
Mélisande Corriveau bass viol
Josh Cheatham bass viol
Olivier Fortin harpsichord and conductor
"A crazy day at Versailles
Marais: La Folia
Ortiz: La Folia
Corelli : Sonate préciser
Rameau : La Forqueray, Les Sauvages
Forqueray : La Couperin, La Buisson
Caix d'Hervelois: Suite in D minor
From dawn until suppertime, the whole of Versailles is buzzing with intrigue, music and laughter... in the gilded corridors, an impatient harpsichord wakes the King, the violins agree to get him up while a cook gets carried away and a Spanish ambassador waits for three hours for someone to deign to receive him! This is the daily life of the world's most famous stage, as told by Ensemble Masques, with delightful anecdotes and a selection of music from France, Italy and Spain.
