As part of "Ma Région Virtuose ! - Amadeus
A highly original programme presenting the Zaïde Quartet's astonishing, never-before-seen transcription for string quartet of excerpts from The Magic Flute, the famous opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791), composed in the last months of the composer's life. Combined with Quartet No. 14 in G major K. 387, this miniature version of the opera transforms the quartet's instruments into a multitude of lyrical roles, celebrating the eternal dialogue between singing and playing... A feast for the eyes and ears!
The Quatuor Zaïde is a string quartet made up of Charlotte Maclet (first violin), Leslie Boulin Raulet (second violin), Céline Tison (viola) and Juliette Salmona (cello).
Formed in 2009, the quartet has established itself on the international scene as one of the rare all-women quartets. The numerous prizes it has won at prestigious international competitions between 2010 and 2012, notably in Bordeaux, Vienna and Beijing, have established it as one of the leading chamber music ensembles on the classical music scene. Today it is recognised for its high standards and its ongoing exploration of the quartet's spectrum of sound.
As part of Ma Région Virtuose.
