The guinea fox
It lives in marshes or in meadows and woodlands that are flooded for part of the year.
Recognisable by its bell shape and mauve colour, it flowers for only 15 to 20 days a year, between March and May. Come and discover the only station in the département that is home to the guinea fern (Fritillaria meleagris), a protected plant species in Mayenne.
