A concert that illustrates two essential facets of Elizabethan music: emotional depth and a spirit of innovation.
To mark the 400th anniversary of the death of the English composer and lutenist John Dowland, the Château de Sainte-Suzanne is hosting an original creation devised by the "Le Printemps de la Musique Ancienne en Mayenne" festival: A dream. The Ensemble Il Ballo will be taking over the château's main hall to perform this new musical proposition, born of an imaginary encounter between John Dowland and Robert Johnson.
Véronique Bourin - soprano
Boris Bénézit - narration and flutes
Leonardo Loredo de Sá - lutes and guitar
