The Chapelle des Calvairiennes is a showcase for contemporary artists. Three to five exhibitions a year enable visitors to discover contemporary art in all its diversity.
Designer Éléonore Gold-Dalg fashions her flame-blown glass creations from her studio high up in the hills above Laval. When the flame is lit, an incandescent countdown begins, in which breath and gestures come together in a rigorous choreography. Drawing her materials and research from the sciences, Éléonore Gold-Dalg explores the full potential of glass in contact with her tools.
Interested in the domestication of plants, the artist invites us to observe life through her glass "Little Monsters", in which plants develop roots that resemble underground entrails.
Around the exhibition :
- Meeting Thursday 21 May at 5pm
- Opening Friday 22 May at 6pm
- Zootrope workshop Saturday 23 May at 3pm (booking recommended)
- Glass engraving workshop Wednesday 3 June at 3pm (booking recommended)
- Visit-workshop for children aged 4 and over Wednesday 17 June at 3.30pm
