To round off this cycle of visits initiated during the Journées nationales de l'architecture 2024, the Pays d'art et d'histoire and the Mayenne Communauté are offering a final visit to the Jardin Boréal site in Lassay-les-Châteaux, just a few months before its official opening.
With a surface area of 2,000 m2, this new cultural centre, built by Mayenne Communauté, will bring together the Lassay-les-Châteaux media library and arts teaching site, as well as the Espace Jeunes. Located at the entrance to the town, the Jardin Boréal is oriented towards nature and the environment, both in the choice of materials and in the layout of the spaces. The tour will be led by guide Julie Maviel and the group of artists responsible for creating the grain library that will be set up in this new cultural centre. On this occasion, the 1% artistic theme will be explored in greater detail.
