Situated between the river and the ramparts, in the heart of the town of Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne, the workshop has been designed to encourage transmission and experimentation. Le Bocal has been designed as a bubble of creativity and experimentation around clay.
Open the door of the workshop, in the heart of Château-Gontier-Sur-Mayenne, and discover Le Bocal's creative spaces. Young or old, beginner or experienced, the idea is for everyone to experience the joy of creating everyday objects with their hands.

Here, you can create objects with a soul - your own. Unique pieces, created at your own pace.
Le Bocal is all about slowing down, feeling and doing.

Filming:
Turning is a technique that involves using the centrifugal force of the potter's wheel to make cylindrical shapes (cups, bowls, vases, etc.).
Turning takes time to master, but it's also the most addictive. Once you've got over the initial difficulties of centring, turning is almost therapeutic!
It's an activity that demands precision and good control of gestures, and therefore great concentration: when you're shooting, you forget about everyday life!
If you like technical challenges, filming is for you!
Modelling :
Modelling involves working clay with your hands and a few tools.
With modelling, you can create a multitude of shapes (round, square, sculptures, etc.).
Modelling allows you to quickly achieve what you have in mind by shaping what you want.
If you want to create a specific object, modelling is for you!
