Jean-Philippe Davodeau returns to his Breton roots to examine discrimination against minority languages and the impact on current generations.

Faced with the dominant linguistic model, many families have abandoned their ancestral language, which is considered to have been downgraded. But what were the repercussions of this collective and intergenerational loss? While his grandparents did not pass Breton on to their children, Jean Philippe Davodeau began learning the language in 2018. For him, it was the starting point for a reflection on the place of minority languages and the contradictory feeling of pride and shame linked to our origins.
Surrounded by a pancake-making actor and a kan ha diskan singer (a traditional Breton singing technique), he invites us to a convivial and entertaining evening that aims to rehabilitate people who may have suffered, directly or indirectly, from their language or its absence.
