Guided tour of the fortress and museum
Discover the Jublains museum and its collections through a selection of personalised objects. Opened in 1995, the departmental archaeological museum houses collections dating from the Bronze Age to the Early Middle Ages. It presents collections from all over the département, with a special focus on the town of Noviodunum, the ancient city of Jublains. During the visit, the focus will be on a mosaic, as the year 2026 is the 250th anniversary of its discovery by the parish priest Lair de La Motte. Three fragments remain from this discovery, two of which are on display in the museum and were restored in 2024.
