As part of the European Heritage Days, discover the skills of craftsmen.
With Robin du Bocage, will you be able to collect the ransom to free the Lord of Arcis?
An escape garden where you can visit the entire estate.
Did you know? Pierre le Cornu (yes, he really did exist!) attacked, robbed and burnt down many châteaux in Mayenne with a gang of lawless looters just as Charles de Cervon was rebuilding his château des Arcis and creating his gardens...
The Lord of Arcis was taken prisoner and a ransom was demanded!
His valiant young squire, Robin du Bocage, gathers his companions to protect the castle and collect the ransom.
It's up to you to solve the riddles posed by Robin and his friends to raise enough money to deliver the good lord Charles ...
Each of the companions has a riddle for adults, one for children (aged 7-13) and one for toddlers (aged 3-6). The youngest get special treatment, with the riddles (on the theme of the garden's animals) solved in little nesting boxes. The others have to wait for the last test!
It's a multi-generational trail that you can take on your own, with friends or as a family, exploring all the outside areas of the château and the park... But maybe you'll get lost in some of the nooks and crannies or in the labyrinth?
