The eleven artists of Rasposo deploy their virtuoso circus skills in a chiaroscuro tale about doubles and the art of manipulation, whether physical or cerebral.
The hunting term hourvari refers to the way in which game retraces its tracks to deceive the dogs in pursuit. By extension, it means uproar, storm or chaos. With this title, the Rasposo company is asserting the wild and rebellious nature of a show free of convention that questions the relationship between the living and the inert. It's a large-scale, poetic circus, driven by powerful, enigmatic characters, that puts play and gesture, the false and the true, in tension.
Hourvari is a contemporary interrogation of the artificial and the authentic, the restlessness and fragmentation of existence. An attempt to redefine what it means to be "human" in this brutal world.
After Oraison, presented at Le Carré in March 2024, Cie Rasposo is back with a dazzling latest creation.
