"Stories
"Manon MULLENER is one of Europe's promising young jazz musicians. She weaves together jazz, Latin music and the melodies of her native Switzerland. Her compositions are like travel diaries, mingling echoes from stages all over the world, from New York to Havana, via European festivals. Her playing, both intimate and vibrant, invites you on a sensory voyage, an immersion in a universe where every note tells a story. France Musique
Manon MULLENER takes us on a musical journey inspired by the moving testimonies of people she has met around the world. Each track on this album of Cuban-influenced modern jazz tells a unique life story, like that of Zoila, a 95-year-old Cuban grandmother who recalls the perfume shop she ran with her husband in 1950s Havana, or that of Noh, a Mexican taxi driver committed to Mayan values, and Willard, an opera fan from uptown New York. A tour of 100 concerts across Europe will give audiences the chance to discover these musical tales live, with an energy and depth that promise unforgettable thrills.
The concerts in Meslay-du-Maine will take place at the Salle Socioculturelle,
Opening acts will be jazz workshops from local music schools,
A record fair will be held on Thursday 14 May from 2pm to 6pm in the grounds of Meslay-du-Maine town hall,
All our concerts are free for our audiences aged 0 to 16 (please bring proof of age),
Our audiences aged 16 to 26 have a reduced rate of €13 for each paying concert (Tuesday 27/05, Friday 30/05 and Saturday 31/05 - bring proof of age),
